Development Authority. The suburb’s population boomed towards late 1990s and
since then realty prices have gone up. Vijay Nagar has one of the highest real
estate prices in Indore and rental rates, mainly for the influx of immigrants.
The neighbourhood is located towards east Indore and is surrounded by arterial
roads like Eastern Ring Road, MR 10 and MR 9. The development of the Indore
BRTS has led to higher growth of the area.
Flats for Rent in Indore are available for Rs 10 per sq ft which means a
standard flat of 2BHK measuring 1000 sq ft would extract a monthly rate of Rs
10000 per sq ft. The same rate is applicable for independent houses too. The
notable townships of the area include Suyash Club, Nandini Vihar, Shekhar Planet
and Shalimar Township. There are several IDA apartments available here too.
Vijay Nagar has several
malls such as Mangal City, Orbit, Malhar Mega Mall and C-21. Leading hotels of
Indore like Hotel Fortune Landmark and Sayaji are located here.
Mahalaxmi Nagar
Mahalaxmi is a suburban area of Indore, located
towards the north eastern outskirts of the city. It is located close to the
Eastern Ring Road and has numerous high rise towers. Mahalaxmi was carved
around the 2000s when people saw the potential of the peripheral areas of the
city and moved to the outskirts. Apart from Mahalaxmi Nagar, Rajendra Nagar,
Neeranjanpur and Tulsi Nagar were also carved along the Ring Road. With its
development, several people moved here, particularly because cheap accommodation
was available.

AB Road
AB Road is one of the most important thoroughfares of
Indore. The ICTSL Buses that operate through the city pass through here.

Institute of Advanced Network Technology are located here. Hospitals such as
Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital, Suyash Hospital, Eureka Hospital, Rohit Eye
Hospital and Child Care Cenre and Vishesh Hospital reinforce the area’s social
infrastructure. AB Road too has 2BHK
flats of 1000 sq ft available for Rs 10000 while independent houses can be
availed for Rs 8000 per month.
